Perstorp Enters Fertilizer Market with Chlorine-Free Potassium Product

Perstorp enters the fertilizer market with the launch of Amicult ™ K42. This chloride-free potassium source is seen to have high solubility and uptake rates without increasing salinity levels or clogging leaf and drip irrigation systems. Amicult K42 is now being launched in selected markets. Amicult K42, a liquid fertilizer component, can be applied at the right development stage when the crop needs an additional potassium source. In agricultural regions where salinization is a problem, high chloride levels have a negative impact on crop development. With Amicult K42, a low salt index product, the risk of adding new salinization problems to the soil is reduced. Additionally, the product's high solubility makes it a good choice for drip irrigation applications. Potassium has been proven to provide plants with better drought and cold stress tolerance, but in dry regions, fertilizer uptake from the root system is limited. Amicult K42 demonstrates high leaf uptake efficiency in drought conditions. And in times and situations where frost damage is difficult to avoid, the rapid liquid leaf uptake of Amicult K42 is a good tool to protect plants against frost damage. When using irrigation systems, a fertilizer with low solubility can cause clogging of pipes and nozzles. As a result, the fertilizer will be distributed unevenly and the crop will grow unevenly, leading to reduced yields at harvest. Amicult K42 has high solubility that minimizes clogging problems in irrigation systems.
