Leipziger Messe Acquires PaintExpo

Leipziger Messe has taken over PaintExpo from FairFair GmbH. Since the trade fair was first established in 2006, PaintExpo has been held every two years in April at Messe Karlsruhe. PaintExpo has become the world's leading industrial coating technologies trade fair, with 537 exhibitors from 29 countries and 11,790 specialist visitors from 88 countries attending the most recent event. The next PaintExpo will take place in Karlsruhe from 26-29 April 2022. Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe, said "PaintExpo is an excellent choice for us. Haußmann, who founded PaintExpo in 2006 and expanded it into the world's leading industrial coating technologies trade fair, will continue in an advisory capacity. Additionally, Leipziger Messe has taken over the PaintExpo exhibition team and office in Oberboihingen, Baden-Württemberg. Leipziger Messe will continue its highly successful cooperation with PaintExpo's current partners JOT - Journal für Oberflächentechnik (Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH) and PaintExpo venue Messe Karlsruhe. Gerhard Ohmacht, Managing Director of the Trade and Industrial Fairs Division at Leipziger Messe, is responsible for PaintExpo's future development. Ohmacht is an industrial engineer specializing in technical sales and sales communications, and has many years of management experience in industrial and B2B environments. Since March 2020, he has been responsible for the industrial and trade fair portfolio of the Leipziger Messe Group. The PaintExpo acquisition process was supported by broker Fair Relations GmbH. The next PaintExpo will take place in Karlsruhe from 26-29 April 2022.
