KRAIBURG TPE now supplies electrically conductive TPEs with adhesion properties to polyolefins or polyamides. These sophisticated products complete the THERMOLAST® K portfolio and represent a satisfying innovation with the company's customary high, consistent quality. Additionally, new and existing customers will benefit from customary advice and service, with everything sourced from a single supplier.

Innovative applications such as sensors for the automotive industry, electrostatically energy-consuming components, or smart textiles for sportswear and safety apparel require materials with defined electrical properties. Electrically conductive TPEs unlock new opportunities for such applications in terms of touch quality, functionality, and design. KRAIBURG TPE is rising to this challenge and now offers two new conductive TPE material series to successfully serve this emerging market. Existing and new customers will benefit not only from the expanded product portfolio, but also from individual advice and service tailored exactly to their needs, regardless of which stage a project is at.

The EC series with adhesion properties to polypropylene provides 70–80 Shore A hardness with <101 Ω cm resistance and 0.97–0.99 g/cm³ density. The unique EC/PA series with adhesion properties to polyamides has resistance <103 Ω cm and hardness of 70–80 Shore A with 0.96–0.97 g/cm³ density. Both products are available in black.

Customers will benefit from the following properties offered by both series:

• Excellent electrical conductivity,

• Thermoplastic processability,

• Multi-component injection molding with excellent adhesion to various thermoplastics,

• Non-sticky surface feel,

• Leak-proof and homogeneous surfaces.

Dr. Johannes Krückel, Key Account Manager at KRAIBURG TPE, said: "Functional requirements for TPEs are increasing steadily. Following comprehensive testing, we have expanded our portfolio to include electrically conductive TPEs so that we can serve customers from a single source both now and in the future. We will continue to serve classic application areas, but there is a clear trend toward new additional applications. For this reason, we expect electrically conductive TPEs to play an important role in tomorrow's market, and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers the customary excellent service alongside consistent product quality for these products."

KRAIBURG TPE's two new electrically conductive THERMOLAST® K series are now available worldwide.
