eschbach Introduces Shiftconnector® Platform
eschbach, a global software developer providing Shiftconnector® digital manufacturing software for the pharmaceutical and chemical production sectors, has announced the launch of Shiftconnector®Go Mobile Rounds, an application that seamlessly connects field workers to control room operators through the Shiftconnector platform for routine tasks and compliance management.
The application is available for iOS, Android and Windows, enabling employees to report activities directly from their mobile devices to a central location regardless of where they are in the facility.
Andreas Eschbach, founder and Chief Executive Officer of eschbach, said, "Shiftconnector Go Mobile Rounds provides a significant advantage to employees as they conduct daily inspection rounds related to environmental, safety and compliance activities in various locations throughout the facility. It improves the entire workflow starting with planning, monitoring and ultimately evaluating inspections in the field. Thanks to mobile capabilities, communication with central operations is enhanced and paper documentation is eliminated, enabling better management of daily facility operations and simpler execution for everyone involved."
With offline functionality, Shiftconnector Go Mobile Rounds also gives employees the opportunity to document actions when they may be in an area without cellular access. Information is saved to the device and transmitted once access is available. For security requirements, if devices are shared between shifts, users have a specific PIN or password that must be applied to access the application.
In a typical scenario, shift workers download the daily task list of specific actions and proceed to designated locations where signatures are recorded for detailed activities. A QR code confirms the worker's position.
While items on the task list are being reviewed, if an anomaly is discovered, such as a leak or pressure issue, the worker can record the adverse event (including photographic documentation) through the Shiftconnector platform, which is immediately shared in the shift report. The information is then communicated to those responsible for corrective action.
Evaluation of the action is recorded to ensure compliance. Through the Shiftconnector platform, this information is integrated with shift reporting to mitigate any misinformation or negligence during shift handovers, providing compliance, safety and reliability.
