COVID-19 Pandemic Drives Increased Demand for Antibacterial Cleaning Products

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for antibacterial cleaning materials continues to rise, and healthcare facilities are seeking effective alternatives to traditional solutions. To meet this need, Contec, Inc., an industry leader in critical cleaning products and cleanroom supplies, is increasing production of Sporicidin® brand disinfectant, particularly used in mold and water damage remediation. To achieve high-volume serial production, the company is turning to Milliken & Company, a diversified global manufacturer and expert in materials science. Since 1978, Sporicidin brand disinfectant products have been used by hospitals, medical and dental offices, veterinary clinics and restoration specialists for infection and contamination control. EPA-registered, mid-level disinfectant, Sporicidin cleans, disinfects, eliminates odors and kills 100 percent of pathogenic vegetative organisms, including MRSA, VRE and Avian Influenza A Virus (H9N2 and H1N1), with residual activity lasting up to six months. Compatible with plastic, wood, glass and metals, alcohol-free Sporicidin brand disinfectant does not stain, is non-abrasive and non-corrosive. The disinfectant carries an EPA toxicity category IV rating, the lowest toxicity classification assigned to antimicrobials. Contec, Inc. Through research, development and manufacturing expertise, Milliken completed all EPA requirements. It implemented training and protocols to safely produce quality disinfectant. Sporicidin brand disinfectant is available in ready-to-use 32 oz (0.65 L) spray bottles, 1-gallon (3.8 L) containers and pre-saturated wipes.
