We have implemented one of Türkiye’s most comprehensive investments in the polyurethane market
With the launch of local TPU and polyester polyol production at the BYCHEM facility, we have taken a significant step in the polyurethane market. This investment, carried out on a 35,000 m² production area, represents the largest capacity and fully local TPU production in Türkiye. Our goal is to reduce the current account deficit of the domestic market while targeting exports primarily to Europe and America. Our TPU products are flexible, durable, and aromatic in structure, and include all variants based on polyester, polyether, polycaprolactone, and polycarbonate.
Our R&D center, with its 3,300 m² space, boasts one of the most comprehensive polyurethane-focused infrastructures in the region. Producing our own polyester polyols gives us a major advantage in developing special formulations, while digital twin technology and AI-supported process optimization have increased energy efficiency and reduced production losses. Our aromatic TPU products stand out with their flexibility, durability, and strength, and are designed to cover all variants based on polyester polyol, polyether polyol, polycaprolactone polyol, and polycarbonate polyol. The production process will initially focus on aromatic types and will later expand to include aliphatic TPU variants. Composite and compound versions of TPU with other polymers will also be part of our portfolio; all our products will be fully compliant with REACH, RoHS, FDA, FCA, and EU regulations.

We meet the needs of various industries with our umbrella brand BYFLEXX® TPU, which represents BYCHEM’s flexibility and engineering capabilities in the TPU field. In the footwear and sports equipment segment, we offer lightweight sole and upper surface solutions with high abrasion resistance; in the automotive sector, we develop special compounds with high heat resistance and enhanced conductivity. Our halogen-free flame-retardant formulations stand out in electrical, electronics, and cable applications, while in textiles and films, we provide breathable membranes and flexible coatings for "dri-fit" fabrics.
We invest in sustainable technologies
At the top of our carbon-neutral roadmap are renewable energy use, process heat recovery, and waste minimization. By partially or fully sourcing TPU’s main components from bio-based materials, we have achieved a bio-content rate of over 75%, with a goal of reaching 100%. We have introduced a 100% bio-based product to our polyester polyol product range, and we contribute to the green economy with recyclable TPU composites.
Through investments in sustainable technologies, we aim to reduce our environmental impact and create long-term value in the industry. By earning a silver medal from the global sustainability rating platform EcoVadis, in our first year of participation, we have demonstrated our commitment in this field.
