MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions Announces Acquisition of Chemical Developer HSO Herbert Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG.
HSO Herbert Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG, a privately held worldwide developer of surface treatment technology, has been bought by MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, a global leader in chemical compounds used in surface finishing applications.

HSO, which was founded in 1936, develops and manufactures highly specialized chemicals for the surface finishing business, with a focus on plating on plastics and environmentally friendly plating techniques. The company is based in Solingen, Germany, and its products are sold in 29 different countries. HSO's product line comprises plating processes for a number of substrates, including plastics, aluminum alloys, and metals.
