KIMfoot® Safety Shoe Systems
Kimpur, one of Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises, is the polyurethane system
house with the largest capacity in the region with 40 years of experience in the chemical industry with a production of 130 thousand tons in Turkey and 25 thousand tons in Europe
by its susidiaries.
With our Düzce investment, we aim to increase our total production capacity to approximately 220 thousand tons and be among the top 10 system houses in the world. We lead the industry by exporting to more than 50 countries in 5 continents.
Our polyurethane systems are used in different sectors such as footwear, automotive, furniture, heating and cooling, insulationconstruction and defense industries.
We, as Kimpur, have been continuing our work by increasing our R&D investments every year since our foundation. In our R&D Center, which has been registered by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in May 2017, we produce special and uncommon solutions for our customers with an R&D team of 27 experts in their fields.
Our systems are divided into eight product groups: KIMfoot® Footwear Systems, KIMflex® Flexible Foam Systems, KIMrigid® Rigid Foam Systems, KIMcase ® Special Solutions (Elastomers, Coatings, Polyurea and Sealants), KIMpol® Polyester Polyols, KIMraw® Raw
Materials (Base Polyols, Isocyanates, Glycols, Carboxylic Acids), Flame Retardants, Catalysts), KIMplus® Auxiliary Materials (Mold Release Agents and Liquid Colorants)
and KIMplas® Special Solutions (Eva Granule).
Since our first day of activity, we have been offering our industry specially prepared polyurethane solutions for the production of all kinds of shoe soles. Our KIMfoot® Footwear Systems product line ranges from low-density slippers and sportswear systems to high-density occupational safety systems, and consists of different groups according to their usage areas.
Safe and Comfortable Steps
Most of the injuries in work accidents experienced today are due to not wearing safety shoes, or that shoes worn are not robust and suitable for work. For comfortable and long-lasting use of safety shoes, which are also used in light industry production areas, especially in heavy industry (defense, mining, metallurgy, mechanical engineering,
energy industry and chemical industry) the use of materials with lightness, flexibility, absorption, abrasion resistance and non-slip properties in sole production is recommended.
Polyurethane is preferred as the most suitable material in the production of occupational
safety shoe soles, as it offers all of these features at the same time.
To this end, Kimpur’s KIMfoot® Safety Shoe Systems offer both safe and comfortable steps to ensure the longlasting use of shoes. Our systems comply with EN ISO 20345: 2012, a standard covering basic and additional features for safety footwear, and EN 61340-5-1 covering electrical resistance.
In addition, it is suitable for use in the production of single and double density safety shoe soles and can be applied with injection and open casting machines.
Single and Double Density Safety Shoe Sole Systems
Double density polyurethane safety shoes systems are applied in two layers as outsole and midsole. While the PU midsole provides high comfort for the feet with its soft and breathable structure, the PU outsole provides high resistance to slipping and abrasion.
The lower sole can be printed with PU and TPU products. KIMfoot® Safety Shoe Systems offer comfortable steps to their users thanks to a high flex strength, while ensuring safe steps in terms of occupational safety with superior technical features.
They prevent possible accidents with a high non-slip resistance against slippery
surfaces and provide protection against possible electric shock in working environments thanks to antistatic and electrostatic discharge features.
They offer a long-lasting use by showing high abrasion resistance and hydrolysis resistance against harsh weather and working conditions. In addition, our systems also have
antimicrobial properties.
As the Kimpur R&D team, we continue our work in our simulation center, accompanied by a low pressure machine and necessary equipment, by obtaining accurate analyzes and fast results in line with the needs of our customers.
