In our interview Arerko Kimya (Chemicals) General Manager Mr. Murat Kotevoğlu answered our questions. Kotevoğlu gave information about the products offered by Arerko Kimya.
Could you please briefly tell our readers about yourself, your educational background and your professional background?
I was born in Istanbul. I finished my secondary and high school education at Private Kalamış College and my undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Department of Chemical Engineering.
My personal hobbies are philosophy, psychology, reading books and painting. I have worked as a professional executive and consultant in many fields such as construction industry, plastic, rubber, and automotive.
I have also served to the manufacturing industry by manufacturing plastic and rubber components at my own company for more than five years. During my entire professional life, I have been keen on on adding value and benefit to the Turkish economy with the work I do, whether it was production or sales.
In early 2021, we decided to partner with Ravago, an industry leader which supplies many groups of raw materials around the world. At Arerko Kimya, a Ravago Group company, where I still function as the managing partner, I continue to serve the industry with the same vision and mission.

Could you please tell us about the incorporation of Arerko Kimya, the investments it has made and its current structure?
Arerko Kimya started business in 2012, importing and trading micro beads that expand with heat, which are used in the plastic, rubber and textile industries.
In the following years, we continued to serve many industries by signing partnership agreements with leading companies in their field, adding cosmetics, food supplements and animal feed raw materials to our portfolio.
Since the year we were founded, our main goal has been to offer innovative and natural products that offer solutions.
What kind of products does Arerko Kimya mainly provide to which industries? What are Arerko Kimya’s products, brands and services?
Arerko Kimya supplies special and value-added raw materials used in cosmetics, food supplements, animal feeds and industrial fields.
We supply products such as natural actives, dermo-cosmetic products, emulsifiers, dispersing agents, natural silicone alternatives, preservatives, organic UV filters, esters, essential and fixed oils, and polymers to the cosmetics industry.
In this field, we pay particular attention to presenting product groups that are naturally sourced, environmentally friendly and create solutions.
In the field of food supplements, we supply many raw material groups such as phytotherapy extracts, clinically-proven, patented products; premium fish oils, patented probiotics, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
In this field, our objective is to supply effective and innovative raw materials that offer natural solutions to many health problems.
While supplying product groups such as amino acids, vitamins, minerals, oils and lecithin to the animal feed sector, we also offer patented product groups that offer special solutions and have positive effects on animal health and yield.
In the industrial field, the special raw materials that are called microbeads and used in many industries are among the product groups that we have been supplying for many years.
Can you tell us about your domestic and international sales activities? What kind of products do you sell mainly to which regions in Türkiye and abroad?
Since we are a distributor company, we mainly import raw materials to the domestic market, but we also export to neighboring countries within the framework of our agreements with our partners.
While our sales are mainly to the Istanbul region, we supply different raw material groups to many cities, mainly Ankara, Izmir, Konya, and Gaziantep. We carry out our activities at our Istanbul headquarters, without sub-dealers or distributors.
Could you tell us about Arerko Kimya’s environmental policy and sustainability approach?
We follow a sustainable environmental management policy in accordance with the relevant environmental standards and regulations.
It is our priority to prevent pollution, minimize waste management and generation, create sustainable environmental awareness by providing regular training to all our employees, reduce CO2 emissions from services and develop sustainable activities.
What kind of work does Arerko Kimya perform in the fields of innovation and R&D?
Our primary objective in the industries we serve is to offer our customers innovative and solution-providing raw materials and formula samples developed with these products.
In order to provide this service in the most effective way, we are working on developing new formulas for the cosmetics industry with the raw materials of our partners for whom we act as vendors, and in this way, we offer new formulas and product samples to our customers.
We closely follow the trends and the needs of the end consumer, steer our activities accordingly, and meet customer needs by using innovative active substances.
Which criteria are given priority when developing Arerko Kimya’s investment plans? Does Arerko Kimya have investment plans for the future, and if so, what are they?
While making our investment plans, we closely follow the conjuncture of the changing world and shape our activities according to the needs of the future. Our priority is to be useful and offer products that add value to the sector.
In the upcoming period, contents and approaches which are sustainable, environmentally friendly, minimalist, offer solution and have a positive impact on human health will be on our agenda.
