Duravant LLC, a global provider of engineered equipment and
automation solutions for the food processing, packaging, and material handling industries, has expanded its material handling equipment portfolio through the acquisition of National Presort, LP (NPI), a prominent manufacturer of automated parcel sortation systems based in Fort Worth, TX.
NPI has been a key player in the field for over 45 years, offering turnkey equipment solutions tailored to enhance throughput, accuracy, and fulfillment time for e-commerce, courier, parcel post, warehouse, and fulfillment operations.
Mike Kachmer, Chairman and CEO of Duravant, expressed enthusiasm about the addition of NPI to the Duravant family, emphasizing the alignment of NPI's unique sortation technology with Duravant's existing strengths in e-commerce and distribution centers. This strategic move extends Duravant's reach to encompass parcel and courier customers.
NPI is recognized for manufacturing modular high-speed sortation systems that can be configured to suit specific application requirements. Distinguished by a sliding shoe and slat design, their sorting equipment is engineered to delicately and accurately sort various items such as flats, poly bags, boxes, irregularly shaped parcels, and mixed mail, achieving speeds of up to 24,000 pieces per hour. NPI's software and service offerings further optimize overall fulfillment line productivity.

Brent Daboub, President of NPI, expressed excitement about the partnership with Duravant, noting that it enhances their capacity to provide additional value-added solutions to an expanding customer base. NPI is poised to leverage newfound resources and collaborate with other Duravant operating companies, including FMH Conveyors.
NPI's operational capabilities encompass two manufacturing sites in the United States, supported by a nationwide team of service technicians. Their comprehensive approach spans from designing integrated systems through consultation to installation and ongoing aftermarket support.
Raman Joshi, Group President of Duravant Material Handling Solutions, affirmed Duravant's commitment to supporting NPI's growth in new markets and regions. The cultural alignment between the two entities, characterized by a customer-focused ethos, was underscored as a significant factor contributing to the success of this strategic integration.
