Bayır and Melekoğlu families entered the chemistry sector by first founding Baymel Ayakkabı Firması (Baymel Footwear Company) in 2002 and Baymel Kimya Poliüretan Sistemleri (Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems) in the last quarter of 2011. Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems has become a known name of success not only where it is located, Gaziantep, but around the Turkey too by being one step ahead of the changes and developments in the sector. The first and only Polyurethane System House in Anatolia. By benefiting from the advantages of consumption where it is located Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems is the one and only “Anatolian Independent Polyurethane System House” company which is funded based on solely domestic capital. The company still remains to be the only polyurethane house in the country. The Investment in Polyurethane System Houses includes product groups such as footwear, Rigid, CASE. Our company, beyond ensuring qualified production, has embraced the main principles of sustainability as providing a safe workplace, worker safety, protecting the environment. These principles support our R&D projects of developing new, eco-friendly technologies and products by decreasing the emission rates; goals of using renewable energy resources and enhance the waste management. Starting off with 5000 m2 of confined space, an annual capacity of 8000 tons of base polyester and 8000 tons of prepolymer in 2011, the factory has expanded to 17000 m2 confined space, an annual capacity of 35000 tons of polyester, 40000 tons of prepolymer and 130000 tons of formulated polyols in 2019. Our productions are done by 80% automation in our high technology equipped factory. We Serve 4 Main Groups: BayFLEX It is a group of flexible foam systems which are formed with İzocyanate and special polyols and have low density, low deformation and high elasticity. • Moulded foam systems (furniture, automotive, medical), • Vacuumed moulded foam systems (furniture, automotive), • Integral skin systems (furniture, automotive, medical), • Moulded viscoelastic systems (bed, medical), • Air filter polyurethane systems (automotive).

BayFOOT

Baymel sells PU systems that are used in footwear by gathering its broad range of products under the brand BAYFOOT. In footwear industry around the world Polyurethane’s consumption has increased and is overtaking the places of prior leader industrial products’ places (PVC, EVA, etc.) because of its abrasion resistance, bending resistance, flexibility, lightness and simple application. Baymel offers products that are in a variety of physical properties that range from a density of 25 to a density of 60 for differing application according to customer requests and variation of machines (moulding or direct injections). The products split up into 3 groups. Polyol, prepolymer and catalyzer. • Boot Systems, • Work Safety Footwear Systems, • Sole Systems, • Systems for Slippers.

BayRIGID

Polyurethane systems that have a main intended purpose of usage in isolation. These systems that have varying densities and consume a variation of inflator gases can be worked in different reaction profiles and under different process conditions. A mixture of Polyol System and Polymeric Isocyanate (PMDI) forms a hard foam by expanding when an inflator is added. 90%-92% of the foam cells are closed and hard. They are good heat insulators. That’s why the Rigid Systems are the best heat insulating systems that are used in the world currently. Because of its great properties such as its lambda value, cell size, closed cell size, compressive strength, dimensional stability and degree of incombustibility, it is a raw material which’s consumption increases rapidly. • Industrial and home type refrigerators • Cold room panel systems, • Sandwich panel systems, • Reefer a modular cabin system, • Solar panels and solar energy systems, • Wood resembling and furniture decorative systems, • Roller shutter door and garage door systems, • Pipe insulation systems.
