In addition, protection against nail puncturing is provided by using steel or composite interlayer soles, especially in shoes used on construction sites. Composite materials are preferred because of their lightness, flexibility, and heat resistance. It is ensured that fires caused by static electricity are prevented by using antistatic additives in the shoe materials. Upper sole consists of inner lining and outer lining. The health and comfort of employees are protected with moisture permeability and water repellency, and antibacterial additives. These shoes are designed for summer and winter and are distributed to workers seasonally. In recent years, manufacturers have improved their designs considerably, and besides safety, modern work safety shoes have also been put on the market.In addition to work safety shoes, boots are also widely used in slaughterhouses, farms, and agriculture. Made of polyurethane instead of PVC, these boots are preferred in terms of lightness, heat insulation, and comfort.
