Lockheed Martin and Albany Engineered Composites have announced a teaming agreement to accelerate the delivery of high-rate, mission-ready hypersonic capabilities at the speed and scale demanded by the U.S. Department of War (DoW).
Albany Engineered Composites, a segment of Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN), designs and manufactures advanced engineered composite components for engine and airframe applications in commercial and military aircraft, missiles and unmanned vehicles. Albany’s specialty composite solutions enable current and next-generation aircraft to perform better while being more fuel efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly.
By combining Lockheed Martin’s proven systems integration with Albany’s agile composite manufacturing, the team is set to pursue upcoming full-rate production opportunities for hypersonic weapons programs.
