Digitalization Services for Petrochemical Facility
Zhangzhou CHIMEI Chemical Co. Ltd. has hired Lummus Technology, a global provider of process technologies and value-driven energy solutions, to provide digitalization services at their petrochemical facility in Gulei, Fujian Province, China.

"We provide CHIMEI with best-in-class process technology, plus digital tools and services to optimize the plant for peak performance throughout its life cycle."
For CHIMEI's diphenyl carbonate (DPC) unit, Lummus will offer digitalization services including training and process simulation. A contract for the license and fundamental engineering for the same unit was given to Lummus in 2021. The unit will be able to produce 156,000 metric tons of DPC annually once it is finished.
The O3STM solution from Lummus is one of a wide range of training and digitalization services the company offers to licensees to satisfy particular and unique requirements. With the help of these services, operational teams can run the plant in a safer, more effective manner, resulting in better performance, higher efficiency, and less waste. These services also include hands-on opportunities to simulate the operation of the plant.
