Ex-vivo Studies – Hair Loss
30 volunteers per formulation at ages between 18-65 years old, applied the test product daily on scalp as leave-on for 5 months.
In-vivo Studies – Hair Pigmentation
A clinical study was conducted with 30 volunteers, at ages between 18 and 45 years old for 4 months, applying the test product daily on scalp as leave-on. The entire head was analyzed by a software: grey scale pixels from 0 (black) to 255 (white).
Visual 1. The heads of volunteers were analyzed after 4 months, volunteers #24 is pictured below. The study result show 50% less grey hair compared to placebo.
Visual 2. Evaluation of ratio of non-white hair vs. white hair on micro-images taken at T0 and T120. The hair density/growth micro-image of the volunteer # 29. After 4 months of leave-on treatment with 3% ALPAFLOR® EDELWEISS CB, 13% darker hair was analyzed. 63% of volunteers showed improvement in hair pigmentation.
