Vestel received an award in “Process” category at the European Business Awards for the Environment where it has represented Turkey for the second time with its “waste paint recovery and reuse system” it has designed in line with its Smart Life 2030 sustainability vision, as well as received technology award in “Large Scale Company Process” within the scope of 13th Technology Awards with the same project.
European Business Awards for the Environment recognizes companies, regardless of their size and sector, that develop projects to improve their environmental performance and to contribute to the sustainable economic development and that achieved the highest number of success related to their goals.
Vestel has become the first company ever from Turkey to receive an award with its “Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse System” in the “Process” category. Vestel Electronic Production Manager Ömer Gökçe Kuyucu received the award on behalf of Vestel at the European Business Awards for the Environment ceremony in Vienna.
Technology Awards, the second award received by Vestel, is presented to the solutions that are creative, innovative, technically excellent and competitive as a result of the synergy created by TÜBİTAK, Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV) and TÜSİAD.
Vestel received an award in this organization once again with its “Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse System”. Zorlu Holding Board Member Emre Zorlu received the award on behalf of Vestel from the Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank at the award ceremony held in Istanbul.

Our project on Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse, which received an award, is a project that gathers technology, efficiency and sustainability under a single roof.
I believe the awards received by the project both in Europe and Turkey are a proof that we accurately reflect our sustainability vision on the production processes, and I would like to congratulate all my colleagues contributed to the project.
What is Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse System?
In the industrial wet paint application systems with an average paint efficiency of 50 percent, the remaining 50 percent is filtered and collected as waste. With the “Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse System” developed by Vestel, the waste paint particles used at the business are recovered and prepared for being reused.
Vestel designed all the chemical formulation and machinery in this system. “Waste Paint Recovery and Reuse System” is used for the first time by Vestel Electronic among all the industries, and is registered with three patents.
