Turkey is one of the countries having the most slipper production worldwide, following China.
Based on the recently increasing raw material prices, polyurethane raw material producers show great efforts to reduce the density in slipper systems.
In 2010s, it has been treated successful to obtain 300 – 320 kg/m³ densities for the summer slippers produced in 320 – 360 kg/m³, and the current density is 250 kg/m³ depending on the slippers model at the point arrived in the last decade.
Many factors, such as today’s market conditions, increased costs, rise in number of the rival producers, economic and financial factors, etc. have forced slippers producers to embark on a new quest. This quest and expectation in the market has enabled a new project to be launched at the Kimteks R&D Center.
As a result of our extensive laboratory studies and prototype experiments in our R&D project conducted for over a year, KIMlite, a new member of our product range, has been put at the disposal of our business partners.
We are proud to offer this product to our business partners, enabling us to produce high quality slippers at a density of 250kg/m³ which results from the machine tests, formula tests, physical tests, and customer tests that have been conducted by our experienced team with patience by planning and designing down to the last detail.

At the point from an understanding of slippers production made at rigid and high density that is not requiring a very good flex property, we have created a high performance product with much better flex resistance and rebound, and fast unmolding characteristics.
As Kimteks Poliüretan, we think and work like a tailor when we receive any system requests or proposals. Our products are our own fabric. We design, fabricate and deliver this fabric in accordance with the customer’s machine and process.
With our specialized technical support team, we make the system recommendations in the most suitable way for our customers, while KIMlite also fabricates products with the rigidity requested by our customers. Through our fast production and flexible delivery, we are also looking forward to meeting the expectations more quickly.
Our newly developed system will allow slippers producers to benefit from the low density, and meet the expectations of customers regarding the use of a more flexible, elastic and lightweight product.
The reaction profile and physical properties achieved from the work carried out with the low casting machine related to our system are given in Table - 1.
