Stahl Acquires Weilburger Coatings' Graphics Coatings Business in Brazil

Stahl’s acquisition of Weilburger Coatings’ graphics coatings business in Brazil marks the next milestone in the company’s regional growth strategy for packaging coatings.

Stahl, a global provider of speciality coatings for flexible materials, has signed an agreement to acquire the graphics coatings business of Weilburger Coatings in Brazil.

This step marks the next milestone in Stahl’s Packaging Coatings regional growth strategy, following earlier expansions in Germany and Türkiye, and further strengthens the company’s position in the global packaging coatings market.

Packaging Coatings is a strategic growth area for Stahl. With the addition of the Weilburger Graphics Brazil business, Stahl expands its offering with a complementary portfolio to meet evolving market requirements. Brazil and the wider Latin American region represent attractive growth markets, particularly in segments such as food, beverage, and consumer packaging. By building on the established customer base and proven technologies, Stahl is well positioned to accelerate its growth in the region.

During the course of 2026, Stahl will progressively insource the product portfolio at its own site in Brazil. To support this transition, Stahl has invested in expanding its manufacturing capabilities, enabling the manufacturing of existing Stahl and Weilburger Graphics technologies. This investment reinforces Stahl’s commitment to combining global expertise with local presence, delivering high-performance solutions supported by strong technical service.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the next weeks, subject to regulatory approvals.
