The Bye Bye Bedding program in California has recycled more than 5 million beds since 2016. This has prevented more than 4.5m m
2 of waste from becoming garbage. About one third of this is foam. According to the Bed Recycling Council, which is running the project, more than 80% of a bed can be recycled and converted into final products or industrial products.
