Magnesium Citrate Malate for Food Supplements

Magnesium Citrate Malate by Dr. Paul Lohmann® is a novel ingredient, a fully reacted mineral approved for food supplements. The combination of magnesium with two organic acids, citric acid and malic acid, result in a Mineral Salt with excellent solubility as well as bioavailability and bioaccessibility. Citric acid and malic acid are part of the human metabolism and therefore easy to metabolize. The free-flowing and non-hygroscopic soluble powder produces clear solution with high stability. The magnesium content is similar to other organic Magnesium Salts, but the performance in liquid application forms is superior. Comparable products are not stable in solution over shelf-life cycle or even insoluble. The original taste is more pleasant compared to other magnesium sources and can be easily masked. Magnesium’s Physiological Functions

Without the vitally important element magnesium, it is impossible for living cells to fulfil their manifold physiological functions. Magnesium is of central importance in almost all metabolic processes and essential for the neuromuscular and cardiovascular system.
