Evotech Acquired by the Protech Group

Evotech Acquired by the Protech Group Peintures Prolux Inc., part of the Protech Group, has acquired the liquid coatings business of Evotech Peintures Industrielles (‘Evotech’), based in, Quebec, Canada. The flagship production facility for Evotech's liquid coatings is located in Ontario, Canada. The business also has two service facilities, one in Mississauga, Ontario, and the other in Quebec City, Quebec. The Protech Group name will continue to be used for all offices and manufacturing tools. “We look forward to welcoming the talented employees at Evotech to the Protech Group family upon the close of the transaction,” said David Ades, President of Protech Group. “This acquisition brings us additional strengths in waterborne and solvent liquid coatings technology and formulations, new relationships with multi-national and local customers, and additional presence with strategically located manufacturing and service sites.” Since 1965, Evotech formulations, notably marketed under the Acrythane® brand, have been refined for optimal performance in the windows and doors industry, as well as commercial vehicles and heavy equipment industries. The Protech Group was established in 1976 as a manufacturer-focused thermoset powder coating company. Since then, it has gradually expanded its coating solutions by utilizing a variety of technologies, such as thermoplastics and specialized materials. The business aspires to be a comprehensive coatings supplier to satisfy the most demanding client and industry needs. Acquisitions are a continuing part of growth within the Protech Group. Over the past two years, the Protech Group has now acquired a total of six businesses including this most recent acquisition of Evotech. Source
