BYCHEM, the manufacturing subsidiary of BAYEGAN, Türkiye’s global petrochemical company, met with international industry representatives at Fakuma 2026, held at Messe Friedrichshafen from October 12–16, 2026. Marking its 30th edition this year, Fakuma is one of Europe’s leading platforms for the plastics processing industry. At the exhibition, BYCHEM presented its high-performance material solutions developed to meet diverse application and manufacturing requirements.
Throughout the exhibition, BYCHEM showcased its thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), plasticizer and polyester polyol product ranges. The company engaged with visitors in discussions on product performance, processing requirements and opportunities to develop customized solutions.
Fakuma brought together various segments of the plastics processing industry, particularly injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming technologies. Over five days, the exhibition served as an international meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers, engineers and decisionmakers to explore new technologies and applications.
Exploring New Collaboration Opportunities in the European Market
Fakuma 2026 marked BYCHEM’s first participation in the exhibition, providing valuable opportunities to establish new connections in line with its goal of strengthening its presence in the European market. Alongside deepening relationships with existing business partners, BYCHEM held discussions with industry professionals from various countries on new projects and potential collaborations.
BYCHEM Brings Türkiye’s TPU Manufacturing Capabilities to Global Markets
At the exhibition, BYCHEM introduced its TPU solutions, which offer high mechanical performance, durability, flexibility and chemical resistance, and are compatible with a range of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, lamination and 3D printing. The company also presented its plasticizer and polyester polyol product ranges, designed to address different performance and processing requirements in PVC and polyurethane applications.
Having undertaken Türkiye’s largest TPU manufacturing investment in terms of production capacity, BYCHEM is working toward an annual production target of 50,000 tons. The company currently allocates approximately half of its production capacity to exports, with Europe and the United States identified as priority markets. In its second phase of expansion, BYCHEM aims to enter markets in the Middle East and Turkic republics.
Developed with 100% domestic capital, BYCHEM’s TPU serves a wide range of industries, including automotive, medical, footwear, electrical and electronics, cables, pipes and packaging. From shoe soles and automotive components to electric vehicle charging cables and waterproof textiles, TPU delivers flexibility, durability and high performance across numerous everyday applications, while offering 100% recyclability.
BYCHEM’s 3,300-square-meter R&D Center, equipped with advanced technologies for polymer development, houses Türkiye’s first TPU reactive extrusion line. Research activities at the center focus on various technical requirements, including bio-based materials, recyclable structures, advanced UV stabilization, thermal stability and low migration.
