Safetykleen Acquires Majority Control of Metalwash

Safetykleen, a market leader in parts cleaning and surface treatment services, has acquired control of the majority of the voting rights in Metalwash at both board and shareholder levels. Metalwash specializes in the sale, rental and service of parts washers and automated cleaning solutions in the UK. Safetykleen retains an option to acquire the remainder of Metalwash’s shares at a later stage. At this stage, Safetykleen and Metalwash will continue to operate separately under their existing management teams and brands. Safetykleen provides parts cleaning, waste management and environmental advisory services to customers in 13 countries including multiple European markets, the UK, Turkey and Brazil. In the UK, Safetykleen is a provider of parts cleaning machines, parts cleaning services and waste management services. Safetykleen is wholly-owned by funds advised and managed by Apax Partners LLP.
