Oriental Plans 100kt/Year More 1K PU Coatings for Henan

Orient Yuhong Construction Materials broke ground on a 100kT/year single-component waterproof polyurethane coating project on 16 February. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of Shenzhen-listed Oriental Yuhong Waterproof Technology, according to the project’s environmental impact report. A total of 9,600 m² land is allocated for the plant at the company’s existing site in the Puyang Industrial Park. According to the report, Oriental Yuhong is investing CNY101m ($15m) in the project. It is projected to be on stream by March 2021. The company said the new plant should generate annual profits of CNY166m. In addition, the highly automated facilities will require 20 staff, who will be transferred from within the firm’s 260 current employees, the report said. Oriental Yuhong already has several other projects in the pipeline or in partial operation, for products such as modified asphalt, waterproof coils and gap fillers. Its parent company also has two 100kT/year waterproof PU coating projects. These are based in Tangshan, Hebei and Xuzhou, Jiangsu.
